Card 1: Flash Thingino Bootloader

Download the factory_t31_ZMC6tiIDQN file.

Format your first SD card to FAT32. Copy the downloaded file to the card. Put the card in the camera.

Card #1

Turn on the power to the camera. It will do hardware detection, stock firmware backup and boot loader upgrade. When the process is complete, the WYZE_BACKUP_xxxx/ directory on the SD card will contain eight mtdX.bin files with their respective checksum files, a log file of the process. Copy these files to a safe place. You may need them later.

Hardware Detection Files

In the backup directory you will also find three files that will help you to find out the exact hardware variant of your camera: SENSOR_VER, SOC_VERSION, WIFI_MODULE. Look at each of these files. They will tell you which SoC, image sensor, and wireless module are used in your camera.

Format the next SD card to FAT32. Copy the downloaded firmware to the card and rename it autoupdate-full.bin. Put the card in the camera.

Power up the camera and wait for the firmware to flash. It should take about two and a half minutes. When it's done, you'll hear a click.

Timer

Check for a new wireless network on your tablet of phone. It's called THINGINO-xxxx where xxxx is the camera's new MAC address. Connect to the network and open http://thingino.local/ in your browser.
